Redevelopment efforts at Secunderabad railway station are progressing quickly.

The renovation of Secunderabad railway station is advancing rapidly. The RPF building has been finished, and construction on the air concourse, multi-level car parking, and foot over bridge is currently in progress. Officials are striving for minimal disruption to passengers and plan to complete the project by the end of 2025.

The redevelopment of the Secunderabad railway station is progressing swiftly, with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) building already finished.

Construction is currently taking place on various elements, including the air concourse, multi-level parking facility, foot over bridges, elevators, the main building on the north side, and the south side electric sub-station, among other areas.

The new RPF structure at the railway station has been completed as part of the ongoing redevelopment initiative. This is one of the finished components, in addition to a temporary booking office, while other activities such as the south side basement construction, foundation work, and the new foot over bridge at the Kazipet end are also advancing.

According to SCR officials, most of the foundation construction on the southern side has been finished. The redevelopment project has been awarded to Girdharilal Construction Private Limited for around Rs 720 crore, with an expected completion date by the end of 2025 or the first quarter of 2026.

Two new electrical substations with a capacity of 33 KV will replace the existing 11 KV ones to accommodate the station's demands.
